B GOODS LABEL

The Slowpoke: B GOODS LABEL

We love to stumble upon another clothing label that is doing classic and long-lasting clothing with all things ethical on their minds. Adelaide-based label B Goods Label is ticking those boxes in all their well cut glory.

Having started out just three years ago, founder of B Goods Label, Anny Duff, crafts her handmade thoughtful pieces from organic and sustainable sourced fabrics – predominantly hemp. Thanks to it’s natural properties, hemp is able to be grown without pesticides and other chemicals, it requires very little water and is fast growing. A bit of a super plant you might say.

Even more glorious of hemp is that it makes for great clothing. Similar to linen, it is cooling in summer and warming in winter, breathes well and is long-lasting. B Goods Label’s hemp fabric is dyed and handmade in Bali, Indonesia, with the original fibre sourced from China’s south.

A percentage of proceeds make their way to poorer communities in Bali for food, education, shelter and medical supplies, while another cut from each item sold goes to planting a tree. If all thats not enough to convince that it’s worth decking yourself out in B Goods Label, we have no doubt their effortless and classic cuts will. They’re bound to last you a long time.
